September turns the RFIDify reader into a more useful device for the entire frontline team. Zello Work push-to-talk joins sales, ticket scanning, and RFID workflows. The release also adds prepared offline payments, vendor and reseller operations, multi-event reader ticketing, and better tools for guests after purchase.
Turn the payment reader into a frontline team device
The RFIDify app on a supported Stripe reader now brings selling, ticket scanning, RFID work, and team communication onto the device staff already carry. Its new Walkie-talkie experience integrates Zello Work push-to-talk: an administrator explicitly enables the capability for a paired reader, and staff sign in to their organization’s own Zello Work network to see channels, press and hold to talk, and hear incoming messages. Zello Work is a separate customer-managed service with its own account and charges.
A reader in the field can move between a checkout, a gate, and a team conversation without treating those as unrelated tools. Availability depends on a supported reader, app version, assigned capability, and the customer’s Zello Work setup.
Keep selling when connectivity drops
Event teams can opt in to offline sales and prepare their stations before doors open. Offline cash sales are recorded locally and synchronized when service returns. Offline RFID spending uses a prepared wristband balance allowance, while supported Stripe Terminal readers can collect encrypted offline card payments for later forwarding. Offline transactions remain provisional until their respective synchronization or payment outcome is confirmed; the available tenders and limits depend on the configured policy and device.
Let every vendor build its own menu, without making every vendor open an account
For a venue-managed event, each vendor gets a secure self-service link to enter products, prices, and pictures. The venue reviews the submission before it becomes the live menu. Vendor staff can use a PIN for their scoped sales workflow on an assigned reader. This removes a large block of menu-entry work from the venue team.
RFIDify supports two vendor models, chosen per event. In the direct model, each vendor has its own RFIDify and connected payment account and receives its funds through Stripe. In the managed model, vendors need no RFIDify account: sales run through the venue’s payment account, and the venue pays vendors from their settlement statements. Venue-defined fees and terms are tracked with the sales. Choose the model that matches how your event and vendors want to work.
Work with resellers and invited account partners
A reseller can invite or be linked to a client account, manage permitted client pricing within platform-set bounds, and see its own statements. The client can see its reseller relationship and the applicable markup. A customer can also invite an outside operator into its organization; after acceptance, that person can switch to the invited workspace with the access the customer granted. Reseller settlement is tracked in statements and recorded when paid outside the platform.
Do more at the reader
The reader now supports a customer-facing checkout view, terms acceptance during ticket sales, and one ticket order spanning multiple eligible events. Customer address collection is optional where the order does not require it. Teams can show ticket options and collect payment in one flow, while the platform retains the order and attendee records.
Make the moment after purchase useful
For eligible digital tickets, the order confirmation page can show the scannable ticket QR code immediately. Guests can download an event calendar file from their order, and confirmation email includes a calendar link. No hunting for a second message before heading to the gate.
Support free events and improve the daily details
Free-admission events can offer optional suggested or custom donations, itemized separately from ticket totals in orders, receipts, and settlement. Campaign editing gained more controls, and an authorized operator can correct a missed coupon on an eligible cash door order without recording a fictitious cash refund.
